The Black Panthers were a California based group of activists who fought for black advancement through community-based programs, volunteer work, protests and politics. They achieved free lunch programs, provided legal aid services, mobilized black voters and much more. Some of the prominent figures were Fred Hampton, Eldridge Cleaver, Huey Newton, Bobby Seale and Angela Davis.
